Record broken plastic bag necklace US

- In the US place Miami Saturday during the American-Dutch environmental festival Dutch Wave four thousand plastic bags tied together. The US record for the longest chain of plastic bags has been broken thus, made Maria Westerbos of Plastic Soup Foundation announced on Twitter.

The festival was meant to draw attention to the problems caused by plastic waste in the world. According to find the foundation Ellen MacArthur Foundation in 2050 probably more plastic than fish in the oceans. The industries produce much plastic and man it throws so much at sea, the so-called plastic soup only grows.

Dutch Wave was organized by the City of Miami and the Dutch consulate in the United States. The Dutch ambassador Henne Schuwer was present during the attempt.
