Ravage by looters at Dublin

tallaght - Nine men were arrested in Ireland after looters plundered a supermarket under cover of an exceptionally heavy snowstorm. They used a stolen excavator that caused so much damage that the store collapsed.

The winter plunderers set off on Saturday morning around 5:00 am in Tallaght, southwest of the capital Dublin. A little later, another store was the target. There the damage was enormous too. Due to the bad weather, the police had great difficulty getting to the affected stores later on.

Eight detainees are suspected of pillage and one of healing. Of the suspects aged 24 to 47, the investigating judge left five for the time being to await the trial there.
