Rassul Taliban leader arrested in Pakistan

- The leader of the largest group split off from the Taliban in Afghanistan, Mullah Rassul, was captured in Pakistan. On that message, the newspaper Express Tribune Tuesday according to two senior Taliban commanders.

Rassul had clashed on Pakistani territory with supporters of Mullah Mansur. That was last summer's successor Taliban leader Mullah Omar but not everyone within the extremist movement was happy with that. Several groups split off.

It is not known when Rassul was arrested exactly.
