kuala lumpur - An American company is preparing to resume the search for missing aircraft MH370 from Malaysia Airlines, which disappeared in 2014 with 239 people on board. Ocean Infinity said on Wednesday to send a ship to the possible search area.

Malaysia announced in October to be in talks with the company about resuming the search. Ocean Infinity is optimistic that it will be officially taken care of within a few days, let it be known to Reuters.

Ocean Infinity therefore already let a ship sail. 'This is meant to save time if we are indeed given the assignment, as we hope,' wrote the spokesman. The Malaysian state secretary Aziz Kaprawi (Transport) said that a decision will be taken in the short term, but that no final decision has yet been taken.

The ship Seabed Constructor departed according to shipping data Tuesday from South Africa. The vessel set sail for Australia, where it is expected on 7 February. The official search for the MH370 was suspended at the beginning of last year, because results did not materialize.
