Putin asks Netanyahu for restraint

jerusalem - The United States and Russia have responded with concern to the confrontation between Israel and Syria. Russian President Putin asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a telephone conversation to prevent escalation, reports Russian state media.

The tension in the region increased further on Saturday when Israel pulled down an unmanned aircraft. According to Jerusalem it was an Iranian drone that had invaded Israeli air from Syria. Then Israeli fighters bombed targets in Syria. One of those planes crashed after it had come under fire.
