london - A mysterious woman who may have information about Madeleine McCann has been identified by a Spanish expert. The Bulgarian woman was long sought after.
Detectives from Orange Grande probably went to Bulgaria to find her, the Daily Mirror says. Spanish criminologist Heriberto Janosch Gonzalez says he knows who she is: one Luisa Todorov, a 58-year-old waitress. She was close to the house where McCann disappeared, and was seen in a purple dress. Bystanders could possibly provide more information.
Todorov has previously told the police, together with her husband, not to have seen anything. Yet the detectives wanted to speak her again. The specific reason for this is unknown.
McCann disappeared in May 2007 from the house in Praia da Luz where her parents stayed. They were dining in a restaurant at that time. A kidnapper was never found, although more than fifty suspected suspects were investigated.
