Public may think of new name Android

- That the next release of Android starts with an N, was already known, but according to what delicacy is named version 7.0 of the operating system, remains exciting. Unlike in previous Android versions Google leaves the choice to users. On android.com/n everyone should submit his favorite sweets.

Earlier, the new version of Android seemed to get the names Nougat or Nutella. That can of course still if enough people vote on it, but it might as well be something else.

In terms of innovation, there is at first glance few grand to expect in N, all developers and engineers will be there very differently. Android N is mostly under the hood tinkering with Android. As the world's most popular mobile operating system should be safer, faster and more stable. The names of the Android versions coming of delicacies on order of the alphabet. It started with Angel Cake, which was launched in 2008. Then came Battenberg (February 2009), Cupcake (April 2009), Donut (September 2009), Eclair (2009-2010), Froyo (May 2010), Gingerbread (2010-2011), Honeycomb (2011), Ice Cream Sandwich (2011) Jelly Bean (2012-2013), KitKat (2013-2014) and Lollipop (2014-2015). The current version is Marshmallow. The next update will begin with a D.
