damascus - The US-supported Syrian Democratic Armed Forces (SDF) have received one of the largest oil fields in Syria. Warriors from the SDF revealed that they had been given control over the al-Omar oil field in the eastern province of Deir El-Zor, by a successful Islamic State Offensive.
The oilfield is about ten kilometers north of the city of Mayan-May. Last week, the Army of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad captured Al-Mayadin on IS.
The Syrian army and the SDF compete independently against IS. In the SDF, Arab and Kurdish militia work together.
