Priest confesses information leaks Vatican

- A Spanish priest has confessed that he leaked confidential information from the Vatican to the press. He gave a journalist include 87 passwords that gave access to digital files and addresses within the Vatican, the BBC writes.

Lucio Angel Vallejo Balda was arrested in November with another member of a committee of Pope Francis. They focused on reforms within the Roman Catholic Church. The two would have had a romance when the information was brought out.

Vallejo Balda now says he was manipulated by the woman and was blackmailed. The information was leaked, was used in two books about scandals in the Vatican.

Vallejo Balda If convicted, he hangs eight years in jail over his head.
