Pregnant woman in mortal danger after drama with tram

antwerp - A pregnant woman was injured on Saturday afternoon in an accident with the tram in the Antwerp neighborhood Hoboken. Her injuries turned out to be more severe on Sunday than initially assumed.

According to the Belgian police, the pregnant woman wanted to get into a tram with a buggy. It went wrong at the middle door of the second tram set. When the doors closed, her foot became trapped. The young woman was dragged away a few meters and fell on the platform, a spokesman for the police told VTM News.

At first glance the injuries seemed to fall. In the hospital, however, her condition was 'more serious and even of such a nature that there was a mortal danger for mother and fetus'. How it goes with the woman is not clear.
