Postman kept 573 kilos of letters in garage

vicenza - Residents of Vicenza will suddenly understand the angry phone calls from friends, banks and government agencies: a huge amount of letters has been found at a home mailman.

A 56-year-old Italian man turned out to have stored a large amount of mail in the garage- and not put it around. These include reminders from the municipality, bank statements and political flyers.

The police were tipped by employees of a waste processing company. They got 25 large yellow bins with unopened mail in them.

In the end, all mail- the largest 'catch' ever in Italy- will still be distributed.
