Pope speaks Chilean abuse victims

World April 28, 2018 17:15

rome - Pope Francis has received three victims of abuse within the church in Chile at the Vatican. It involved three men who were abused with others by the Chilean minister and teacher of priests Fernando Karadima.

The Vatican made no announcements about the content of the talks of the church prince with the victims. Francis wants to take 'as much time as needed' this weekend to hear what happened to the three.

During his trip to Chile in January, the pope had sharply criticized the victims of abuse. Francis then defended the Chilean bishop Juan Barros who would have supported the Karadima sentenced in 2011 for sexual abuse. He later apologized for his choice of words.
