'Pope Mobile' auctioned in United States

- A small Fiat 500L where Pope Francis was driving, was auctioned in the United States for 82.000 dollars (about 75.000). According to the organizers was Friday (local time) eagerly bid on the car.

The Fiat was one of the cars where the 79-year-old Francis during a visit to Philadelphia, drove. The papal passenger, the value of the vehicle having driven up considerably. The car is in the US since new 19.000 dollars for sale.

More than nineteen parties had registered for the auction, which lasted only eleven minutes. Meanwhile, a car dealership can claim to be the new owner of the car. The proceeds from the auction will go to the local diocese.

The Argentine prelate drew last year during his first visit to the US a huge audience. The streets were full of people hoping to catch a glimpse of Francis, which include speaking with the homeless, victims of child sexual abuse and prisoners.
