Police Thuringia overheard years

erfurt - Police in the German state of Thuringia appears to have overheard and recorded for years secretly and illegally conversations with service phones.

The case came to light because a prosecutor discovered that telephone conversations he had with a police station in the east of the state were tapped without his permission.

Only emergency calls may be intercepted. For units to which this previously entered and which were then used elsewhere in the police, the eavesdropping function was not disabled.
