Police saves man who is being chased by baby squirrel

berlin - A German man called the police on Thursday because he was chased on the street by a small animal. The man did not manage to shake the animal, so he phoned the police station in panic.

It turned out to be a baby squirrel. At the moment the police arrived, the chase was still in full swing. A few minutes later, exhausted creature fell asleep on the sidewalk.

The poor squirrel probably lost sight of his mother and went looking for a new home. 'It often happens that baby squirrels who lose their mother can only focus on one person,' says a police spokesman to the Guardian.

The agents have taken the sleeping animal to the desk and handed it over to employees of the local animal shelter.
