- The police raid on Cliff Richard's home in 2014 was a serious violation of the privacy of the British singer. That is what his lawyer Justin Rushbrooke argued on Thursday on the first day of the trial against the BBC, which broadcasted the invasion live on television.

Richard has filed a case against the British public broadcaster because images of the raid were broadcast. The singer was accused of child abuse but after investigation these allegations were unjustified.
