Police question Netanyahu in corruption case

jerusalem - The Israeli police questioned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday for the first time in a corruption case involving the country's largest telecommunications company, Bezeq.

The police state that the owners of Bezeq Telecom promised favorable reports about Netanyahu and his wife on a news website of the company. In return, Bezeq would receive certain benefits from telecommunication supervisors.

Netanyahu, who is suspected of two other cases of corruption, denies having done anything wrong. A police spokesman did not want to comment.
