Police ends questioning ex-president Sarkozy

paris - The French police closed the interrogation of former president Nicolas Sarkozy on Wednesday. Judges are now considering whether they should start a formal investigation into allegations of illegal financing of an electoral campaign, a source close to the case said.

Sarkozy was tested by the police on Wednesday for a second full day. It was about investigating accusations that his election campaign was funded in 2007 by former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.
