brugge - The Bruges prosecutor's office contradicts previous reports that the police in West-Middelkerke found a decapitated body in the trunk of a car during a traffic check. 'The body did show very severe injuries at the neck,' said a spokesperson. Several people have been arrested.
The investigation into the case is still ongoing. The police patrol held a car with three passengers in the night from Wednesday to Thursday. They behaved suspiciously when the agents searched the car. They found an inanimate body in the trunk. The three gave a confused explanation and were arrested.
Shortly afterwards, the police received a report from a neighboring campsite. In a caravan, according to Belgian media, they found human remains and lots of blood, as well as a man who would also have been arrested.
According to the owner of the caravan, he was approached two days ago by another resident asking whether he could temporarily rent the caravan for his brother.
