Police: 19 suspects Cologne in the crosshairs

cologne - Police in the western German city of Cologne has nineteen suspects in sight regarding the incidents during the New Year in the city. None of the defendants has German nationality, according to a report presented Monday by the Interior Ministry of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Four of the suspects are already in custody. They are being accused of theft and robbery. What are the charges against the other defendants is not clear from the report. One suspect, according to the police in Cologne under eighteen.

The police are now investigating 516 reports received by the German federal and Cologne police. In 237 cases concerning sexual offenses. In 107 of these cases is also considered theft.
