Plane with 149 passengers crashes

addis ababa - A plane from Ethiopian Airlines that was on its way to the Kenyan capital Nairobi crashed. On board were according to news agency Reuters 149 passengers and eight crew members.

It is not clear if there are survivors. The aircraft left the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa. It is a Boeing 737.

The Prime Minister of Ethiopia condoned in a statement the relatives without giving details of the accident. A spokesman for the airline confirmed that a plane had crashed.
