istanbul - The 'Freedom Falcons of Kurdistan (TAK), a splinter group of the banned Kurdish Workers Party PKK, has claimed responsibility for the attack in Izmir last week. 'Two BRANCH fighters of 25 and 29 years old from southeastern Turkey have this retaliation for the massacre carried out in Kurdistan', TAK made Wednesday by news agency Firat know.

Both perpetrators were killed in a shootout with the police after a car bomb had detonated at the courthouse in Izmir. An agent and thus were an employee of the judiciary. Probably was a third man involved in the attack, but he is not mentioned in the confession of TAK.

The terrorist organization, independent of the PKK claims to operate, also was behind the double bombing in Istanbul's Besiktas district, a month ago. There were 45 unfortunate victims.
