Pistorius hear criminal

- Paralympic and Olympic athlete Oscar Pistorius will be told this week how long he will disappear behind bars for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. The sentencing portion of the trial begins Monday and lasts until Friday. Pistorius will depend at least fifteen years in jail over his head.

Pistorius shot in 2013 on Valentine's Day his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp dead, through the closed door of their bathroom. The athlete has always maintained that he was unaware that Steenkamp was behind the door. He thought he had heard a burglar.

Initially Pistorius was convicted of death by negligence and sentenced to five years, but on appeal it was found guilty of murder. By a firearm Pistorius could repeatedly shooting at the door know that if someone was in the bathroom, the person would die, so the judge ruled.
