Philippines president clashes with Chief Justice

- President Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines has apologized after a high sustained fight with the Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno. In addition, he threatened, according to The Manila Times even with the imposition of emergency rule.

The President and Chief Justice Sereno had flown each other's throats after Duterte judges had been linked to drug trafficking. The highest legal officer of the Philippines, the judges had to be first indicted before their surrender could be required.
