Petition Jan de Hoop: 'Flying above Veluwe can and must be higher'

- Presenter Jan de Hoop has launched a petition on the internet on Saturday to ensure that the planned new approach routes to Lelystad Airport do not go below 6000 meters above the Veluwe. De Hoop, news reader at RTL and presenter at Omroep Gelderland, hopes for a new alternative from the 'highly expert' Royal Netherlands Association for Aviation (KNVvL). The association says that the new routes can be much higher.

De Hoop is concerned about environmental damage and noise. The petition was signed at about four o'clock on Saturday night, four hundred times signed, Gelderland reports.

On Friday, VNO-NCW also provided an entrepreneurial and employers' organization with an alternative to the planned airport of Lelystad Airport on Teuge. The Hope, resident of Radio Kootwijk on the Veluwe, sees no salvation in this plan because the aircraft still reach 1800 meters over the Veluwe.
