Perhaps punishment for Polish MEP who insulted women

brussels - Polish MEP Janusz Korwin-Mikke hangs a fine or temporary suspension overhead because of sexist statements. The 74-year-old politician said Wednesday during a debate that women should earn less than men because they are 'weaker, smaller and less intelligent.'

Parliament President Antonio Tajani showed Thursday managed to conduct an inquiry into the 'hateful' remarks. The Code stipulates that MEPs will behave respectfully. The lightest punishment is a slap on the wrist.

Korwin-Mikke is in parliament for his own Polish libertarian-conservative party Korwin. He is not affiliated with any of the major groups.
