Pause button for TTIP

- A comprehensive trade agreement between the EU and the US is on the back burner. The negotiations on the so-called TTIP-treaty are so jammed that respite is inserted.

That was the outcome of a meeting Friday in Bratislava of the European Ministers of Trade. For over three years is about TTIP negotiations between Brussels and the Americans, but meanwhile the subject in public opinion has become increasingly controversial.

The fear in some European countries for chlorinated chickens and other specters raised by mainly left-wing activist groups is so deep that agreement before it is left there no longer is in President Obama in the US.
