Patient in ambulance seriously injured after collision

genk - A person was badly injured after an ambulance hit a lamppost in Genk, Belgium. The person was in the ambulance and was transported with light complaints to the hospital of Overpelt when the ambulance collided with the lamppost.

The driver of the ambulance and the nurse were also slightly injured and had to go to the hospital for inspection.

The accident happened around 3.15 pm. The ambulance driver said he suddenly had to give way to another car, which meant he lost control of the ambulance. Then it crashed against a lamppost on the central reservation.

The fire brigade had to free the injured people from the ambulance.
