Palestinian assassin slain in Sofia

- A fugitive Palestinian murderer is found dead in the garden of the Palestinian embassy in the Bulgarian capital Sofia. The man has come through violence to the life, the Bulgarian news agency BTA reported Friday.

The Palestinian, according to the Israeli news website Ynetnews convicted in 1986 for the murder of a Jewish religious students in Jerusalem. In 1990 he managed to escape during a hospital stay. Week later a member of the radical Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) off to Bulgaria.

The PFLP accuses Israel of being responsible for the death of the man. Israel had in December have requested the extradition of the 51-year-old Palestinian.
