Organization Duisburg Love Parade goes free

- The court in Duisburg on Tuesday decided to draw a line through it during the trial against ten suspects Love Disaster Parade in that city in 2010. Four employees of the organization and six municipal officials were indicted in 2014 by the Public Prosecutor because of manslaughter. The court found the charge inadequate.

During the Love Parade on July 24, 2010 were 21 people killed when they were crushed to death in a tunnel at the dance festival grounds in the huge crowd. About 650 other visitors were injured. The site could accommodate approximately 250 000 people, but estimates of the number of visitors amounted to 400 000.
