tokio - Nabi Tajima, the oldest man on earth, has died. The Japanese woman was 117 and died in a hospital in Kikai on Saturday. Tajima was born on August 4, 1900, she had more than 160 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The woman was only allowed to call herself the oldest living man for only seven months. In September the then oldest person on earth died: the Jamaican Violet Brown.
The oldest citizen of the world is now a Japanese one: Chiyo Yoshida (116). Until April 2017, a European woman was the oldest: Emma Morano. Morano liked to tell her that she owed her high age to eating two raw eggs a day. Nabi Tajima was not known if she was following a special diet.
