Oldest giant panda asleep in Hong Kong

- The oldest giant panda in captivity is deceased. Jia Jia, who was 38 years old and lived in a theme park in Hong Kong Sunday asleep, so informed the Ocean Park.

Jia Jia was 38 years, which is converted into human years around 114 years. And with that, she was the oldest panda ever in captivity. In the wild pandas are on average between 18 and 20 years old.

Jia Jia stayed at Ocean Park since 1999. According to the park's health deteriorated more and Jia Jia refused to eat the animal. Veterinarians have then given her an injection.
