Obama nominates Garland for Supreme Court

- Judge Merrick Garland has been nominated for the Supreme Court by US President Barack Obama. That the White House confirmed after Garland's name was leaked.

'No one is better able to get started right away before the Supreme Court,' said a spokesman for Obama told Reuters. Garland gained fame in the nineties as investigating judge and prosecutor after the bloody bombing in Oklahoma City in April 1995.
