baton rouge - The authorities in the American state of Louisiana waive the prosecution of two agents who were involved in the notorious death of a black CD seller. Alton Sterling died in 2016 after being hit by police birds in Baton Rouge.

The police officers reacted at the time to a report about an armed man. On video images it can be seen that agents have worked the CD seller against the ground. At some point someone calls 'he has a firearm', after which an agent pulls his weapon. Shots seem to sound like that.

The death of Sterling filmed by bystanders was very sensitive in the United States. The images, including those of other similar incidents, led to anger about the way police officers often approach black suspects. Protesters took to the streets to demand justice.
