kiev - The pro-Russian separatists in Loehansk in eastern Ukraine are without electricity. The energy company of Ukraine has shut down the power because it is not paid.
The energy supplier made the step itself known. Local media reported that the separatists had already taken note of it and that they were working on linking to other sources.
Ukraine stopped all gas supply in the area due to default due in 2015. According to Kiev, the region around Loehansk has now an unpaid energy bill of a little 100 million euros.
