'No action from White House against Amazon yet.'

washington - Despite repeated threats from President Donald Trump to Amazon, there are currently no discussions at the White House about action against the web shop giant. That insiders told the Bloomberg news agency around the American government.

Trump regularly pulled out on Twitter to Amazon because the company would pay insufficiently to the US postal service for its parcel delivery and would harm small retailers in the United States. But according to the sources, the White House does not actively discuss stricter regulations for Amazon. Partly due to concerns about stricter rules, the share price of Amazon has decreased significantly recently.

It is speculated that Trump, with his attacks on Amazon, is especially focused on founder and CEO Jeff Bezos. Bezos owns the newspaper The Washington Post, which regularly writes about Trump.
