Nightclub massacre in Istanbul

istanbul - UPDATE 1:40 When a suspected terrorist attack on one of the biggest and most famous nightclubs in the Turkish city of Istanbul Sunday at least 35 people early slain and at least 40 people injured. It involves Reina Club on the banks of the Bosphorus.

Turkish media report that a man first shot at a policeman, before he entered the building, and random visitors started shooting. Where the shooter remains is not yet clear. The shooter was, according to witnesses dressed as Santa Claus. Among the dead was a policeman.

The police are currently combing the nightclub, inter alia seeking explosives.
