hoogeveen - The internet of things has saved a stolen car. The Range Rover from Eindhoven was brought after the theft to Hoogeveen and stood there to be put into a truck, ready to go to Africa.

A special organization, the Recovery Support Center Europe in the Gelderland town of Hengelo, announced the find Monday. The thieves had turned off all the usual monitoring systems in the Range Rover. But the stolen car had a secret reserve system, which normally is not on. With that backing up the route of the car could be followed. namely the car kept in touch with a central through Lora, the technology behind the Internet of things.
