New NASA photos of Earth at night

- Space agency NASA has beautiful new photos released of the earth at night. Very nice to look at, but the images are also useful for researchers.

For example, scientists at the pictures example how cities grow and where the power failure due to natural disasters. They can distract vanalles the light intensity at different places, such as how they are designed to use energy and the level of economic activity in certain areas.

Later this year, NASA wants daily updates available to science. Example, they can react quickly when they see somewhere the power failure. They can also be seen on images or fishing somewhere illegally.

The images were taken with the NASA-NOAA Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership satellite. From the pictures NASA made a new night map of the whole earth. The old dated from 2012.

The images clearly shows how some areas are built over the past five years.
