New albums exclusively on paid version Spotify

stockholm - Users of the free version of Spotify streaming service to wait from this week until they can listen to some new releases. Premium subscribers get new music heard earlier. That the Swedish company agreed with Universal Music Group, one of the biggest record companies in the world.

'Universal Artists may choose to set their new album for two weeks only to premium users available. Subscriber holders thus get the chance first to hear their new work,' says Spotify baas Daniel Ek. The official singles remain as EK still available for all users

The appointment was hanging for a long time in the air. Spotify is according to The Verge also in talks with two other major labels, Warner Music Group and Sony Music Group, a similar arrangement.

Both Spotify and Universal hope to gain from the deal. The streaming service may possibly count on more subscribers, while Universal can earn more from streams of paying users.
