Navalny continues protest

moscow - Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny has called on supporters Wednesday to take to the streets on June 12 to protest against corruption. Navalny was free Monday after serving a short prison sentence for organizing protests in late March.

Last month, tens of thousands of people gave throughout Russia answered the call of Navalny to take to the streets. It was the largest political demonstrations since 2012. Only in Moscow were arrested more than a thousand activists, including Navalny.

The Kremlin critic wants to participate in the presidential elections in 2018 and compete against the current boss Vladimir Poetin.
