- New Zealand nature enthusiasts who were concerned that the paradisiacal nature Awaroa Inlet in the hands of a private owner would fall, have been bought by crowdfunding area within weeks. 40,000 enthusiasts put money into making the asking price could be coughed up the equivalent of approximately 1.2 million. The last- modest- contribution came from the empire.

The area lies on the South Island in the Abel Tasman National Park and consists of a beautiful bay with pristine beaches. The area is only accessible by boat or small charter plane and is considered one of the most beautiful regions of the country. Awaroa Inlet would have fallen into private hands, it would have been visible not or partially.
