- Aid organization, MSF has opened a refugee camp in northern France. The organization Monday gave the first people shelter in wooden houses in Grande-Synthe, near Dunkirk.

The camp should eventually provide shelter to refugees in 1500, a spokesman said. It is mainly built for people who have long bivouac in tents in the mud.

MSF operates normally in crisis areas and it is very rare that the organization such a project begins in a rich industrialized country.

MSF has 2.6 million earmarked for the camp. The town lay there half a million. The camp gets sanitation, a soup kitchen and a school.
