Mountain climber found mummified after 31 years

elbroes - A female mountaineer who did not survive a trip on the Elbrus (Russia) in 1987 was found after 31 years. The body of the then 36-year-old woman was mummified.

Elena Basykina, as the woman is called, came from the Soviet Union. She was with a friend and five men at the highest point of the Elbrus (5.6 kilometers) when they were killed. Immediately after the accident a search was started, but that did not yield anything, writes Express.

The body of Basykina remains in good condition because it has been under ice for 31 years, according to witnesses it would look like a doll.
