Moscow: Picking fans 'unacceptable'
moscow - The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called the picking of Russian football fans in France 'absolutely unacceptable.'
'Stopping a bus carrying more than 40 Russian fans by police was completely unacceptable,' Lavrov said following the arrest of 43 Russians Tuesday after riots around the match against England last Saturday.
In severe riots were dozens of wounded. The disciplinary committee of European football UEFA has given Russia Tuesday fined 150 000 euros and a suspended disqualification from the European Championship.
