paris - The death toll of the collision between a train and a school bus near the city of Perpignan in the southwest of France has risen to six.

A train crashed Thursday at a level crossing at the school bus with children aged 11 to 17 years. The bus driver and eighteen children were injured. 'Unfortunately another victim died on Monday,' the regional authorities reported in the South-French department.

The cause of the drama is still unclear. The view of the level crossing was excellent, the train did not drive too fast and the track trees and warning lights functioned. It is still a mystery how the bus came on the railway.
