More than 100 deaths from heat wave in India

bhubaneswar - A heat wave in India has claimed over a hundred lives. May and June are usually the hottest months in India, but in some states the temperatures already above 40 degrees Celsius.

In the southern state of Telangana came so far 45 people from the heat and Andhra Pradesh seventeen. Orissa would have fallen more than forty deaths.

Authorities in Telangana have to keep calling people indoors. The schools are closed two weeks earlier than normal for the summer holidays. In Orissa, schools closed and heavy work outdoors prohibited during the hottest hours of the day.
