Moon gets 4G

- In the course of next year, it should also be possible to send an app on the moon. Vodafone, Nokia and car company Audi will work together to make moon-wide 4G coverage possible. This should make it possible to stream HD video to the earth.

The companies are united in the German Part-Time Scientists (PTScientists). Next year, the new company hopes to put two moon rovers on the moon that will provide 4G coverage. Ultimately, the entire system will weigh no more than a pack of sugar, according to PTScientists.

Thanks to 4G, the lunar rover can be communicated with much less energy. HD images can also easily be forwarded with this. Via the moon rover and a base station, the images will be sent to Mission Control in Berlin.
