Monkey causes large power outage in Kenya

kenya - A little monkey has ensured that millions of Kenyans Tuesday four hours were without power. The animal fell into a power on key equipment, causing a nationwide blackout.

The BBC reports that the monkey fell on a transformer, which then fell over. 'Our installations are equipped with an electric fence to stop wild animals,' the power company said in a statement reported. 'We regret this incident and will make better our fences.'
