naypyidaw - Police in Myanmar looked surprised when she found during a check of the car of a Buddhist monk in the town of Maungdaw 400,000 methamphetamine pills. When the police took a look at the convent where the man came from, they found another 4.2 million pills.

Myanmar is known as a major producer of narcotics. There are, inter alia, large quantities of amphetamine, opium and produced in cannabis. Last year, the police managed to lay hands on no less than 98 million pills, doubling the number that was found in 2015. The government continues producers and traders as much as possible.

The hard drug methamphetamine, also known as the English designations meth or crystal meth, is regarded as a highly addictive amphetamine. It is in the medical world, inter alia, used for disorders such as obesity and ADHD.
